Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

I work for a engineering company named Innoventor in St. Louis (nonunion). We are required to work 44 hour per week minimum and most of us work between 50 and 60 hours without any additional pay not including weekends. Management expects this from its employees. This form of management must stop or the workers need to be compensated. What do you think?

Without further details and precise information I would say that this work setup seems to violate the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which provides that employees must work less than 44 hours per week unless compensated. 29 U.S.C. section 207.

It seems that management is in violation the act and you could legally report such behavior, sue for restitution for back-pay, or at least refuse from working over 44 hours without compensation (and termination on those grounds are unconstitutional as retaliatory discharge. 29 U.S.C. section 215(3).
