city comdemn property
The city recently comdemn the property. they ask me (renter) to vacate the premise on march 23rd. I call and talk to city ask them to give me sometime to move. they agree to let me move out on april 8th. The lease payment I have with landlord is due on the first of each month. Can I not pay them(landlord) for the 8 days that I stay on appril since the property is in comdemn. Thanks

You will be liable for the period that you remain in the property. Depending upon your lease agreement, you may be liable for the entire month of April.
