Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
My company is closing my location becuase of financial hardships and we have 2 years remaining on our lease. We have found a sub tenant to take over the remainder but the land lord is seeking $10,000.00 damages as well as taking our $3200.00 month dpeosit. My question is how much is the typical cost for a lawyer to fight this in court?

In Missouri, the written lease has so much power, in deciding what can be done in acase, that is sort of acts like the law of that case. Given the power the written agreements present, it is almost impossible to accurately estimate the fees one would charge to negotiate a lease termination. However, it normally would not take more than ten hours of work. Therefore it probably will not cost you more than $2,500 plus costs.
Good luck
