Evicition procedures

I served my tenant with a notice to pay rent or quit and today March 2, was the final day to vacate. I had a verbal month to month lease. They have been evicted from other places before and they refuse to leave. Do I now need to get a court order to remove them?

Yes. You need to file an action for unlawful detainer. This is not a simple procedure and if these guys are pros at dealing with landlords, you will probably want to get an attorney involved.
