Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
I have been evicted for non payment of rent. In the lease it states that landlord may sell the contents to settle the rents due and the rest goes to me. I would like to hire a restaurant broker to sell everything and pay my past due rents. The land lord will not let me do this. Do I have the right to list the contents? I'm afraid the landlord will sell the contents for less than fair market value just to get his money.

Without examining the rental agreement, and other documents, it is nearly impossible to quantify your authority over the manner of sale. You might still be able to appeal the eviction, or how it was executed.
Since you opted not to take your property with you, you should consult directly with a civil practice attorney to evaluate your options.
