Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
I let a friend stay with me. They pay no rent. They pay nothing on utilities. They do buy food for us both. Lately we have not gotten along. There is no written agreement between us. DO I need to give them 30 days to get out?

You need to give them Notice that your permission to stay has been rescinded. Do this, and if they don't get out, you can file a suit for unlawful detainer. If plead correctly, you'll get a Judgment for eviction plus twice the fair market rent from the date they refused to leave.
Good luck
