Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

landlord committed burglary on my home.

This was less then 2 years from today.

I had paid for my rent and had 10 days left. I was moving. Over the wekend I took a break for the 4th of july.

During the weekend my landlord broke in stole all my posessions over 20,000.00 $

she says I had abandoned the building though I still had time from my monthly rent check, and she never sent me or the court anything.

I had called the police they said it was a civil matter. I just found that this was not the case.

The landlord files against me, suit was dismissed and charged against her for faliure to show. I never even knew this happend.

I filed with an attorney that took the case, later I get a letter from him that says he is sorry because he did not file yet, this was months later. Now a year into things He still says he is on it but nothing has been filed.

What can/should I do? anyone willing to help in missouri? landlord has over 500,000.00$ in land holdings and a past for inappropriate procedures.

I have all checks, paper work and a 911 call of the incident

as well as the letter from the lawyer.

Re: landlord committed burglary on my home.

Because you already have an attorney another attorney cannot ethically provide you with legal advice. If your attorney does not do what you ask him to, you can discharge him and seek other counsel.

Good luck.
