Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
landowner refuses to repair pump to water well
two weeks ago we moved into this mobile home ,the land is owned by a seperate person. We paid for the home but have been a few days late with the land payment.Today we noticed that we did not have any water at all .I contacted the landowner at the resident as well as place of business.
The landowner informed me because we were late on our payment he will not make the repair on the well pump .We cant life without water i do have children. Can he leagely refuse to have the water pump replaced or repaired? Please send me an answer right away . I explained why we have been late on the payment and that he will have his money tomorrow ,but he just told me he dont have to take the money .he just wants us of the property.
I guess thats one way of forcing people out.

Re: landowner refuses to repair pump to water well
I regret that it has taken me so long to answer your question. What the landlord is doing is called constructive eviction. The real question is, do you have a lease? If you do not have a lease, and tenancy is suffered month to month, he can probably evict you. If you have a lease, then the lease language controls.
You should consider obtaining help from a lawyer immediately.
