Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
lease of apartment
I have a lease that was signed by both the tenant and the owner who has since sold the property to another party. Now the new owner says that the lease isn't valid even though when they took ownership they sent out a letter saying that all leases were valid and would not change.

Re: lease of apartment
Unless the lease has expired or has language that does not bind the "successors, heirs and assigns" of the parties, it is legal and valid. If the landlord breaches the lease you may have remedies.
