Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

Our lease ended on the 31st of January 2011. A snow storm hit, and we were unable to make it back to the apartment until after. When we went to get the rest of our belongings, the landlord had changed the locks already, with no notification to us. When we went to the office to talk to him about the circumstances. He informed us that we had to pay almost a $1000 to Get our belongings back due to a numerous amount of charges. He continued on by being rude, cussing us, and then forcing us off property. What are our rights?

If your stuff wa there on February 1, 2011, then you probably owe for atleast teh February rent. The landlord cannot get rid of y bleiongins, and cannot continue the rental tenency beyond the time you arrive to retrieve your items.
