Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

I live in Oak Grove, MIssouri. I let someone move in with me. I have asked him to leave on a number of occassions. He won't. The lease and all utilities are in my name. He doesn't pay any of the bills. He has given me some money in the past. Everytime I ask him to leave, he says he doesn't have to that I have to give him notice. The police will not remove him, because this is a small town and they know him. What are my legal options and does it have to be a formal eviction.

If you want eh police to remove him, you will need a Court order. to get a Court Order you will need to file an Unlawful Detainer Petition. Oak Grove is not so small that officers and deputies will ignore a court order.
