Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

For several months now my neighbor's dogs have been coming in my yard and digging holes,getting in the trash, chasing our vehicles and acting with aggressive behavior toward us. I would like to know what my right's are. I have tried to talk to landlord and neighbor and Sheriff's Department. One Sheriff told me to get a bb gun and a different one said I can not shoot dogs with bb gun. I Live in Dallas County, Missouri

Have your neighbor come pick up the trash and fill the holes each time it occurs. This should cause the neighbor to address the loose dog situation.
