Prepair cost from previous owner

I bought this building is on 11/07/06. the Tenant is staying there ask me for reimburse the money that she paid to repair the leak pipe sometime before 11/07/06. she says that the previous owner promise of re-imburse here this money. so Do I have to reimburse this amount for her. Thank very much

It depends on the language in the contract between you and the seller. If you agreed to assume all liabilities of the seller, then you may be obligated. If not, then the former owner is liable and your tenant should speak to that person about the problem.
