S week drafted answer must be filed with the Court, and sent to all other parties ( or their attorney, if represented.) This must be completed before the Answer docket. You should also file a certificate showing the date and method that copies of the Answer were served upon the other parties. If there are any affirmative defenses, counterclaims or crossclaims, they should be filed and served with the Answer. This can be a difficult and/or confusing process for a layperson. If you're the Tenant, I suggest that you at least have an attorney assist you with drafting your pleadings, if they dont represent you in the case.
