Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
I recently moved into an apartment in the city of Saint Louis that has a major leak in the ceiling. What amount of time is reasonable to allow for repairs before withholding rent? Do I need to set up an escrow account for rent funds until the repairs are made?

Depending upon what your lease agreement says, you may need to get some reasonable estimates to have the leak repaired by a professional. Report these estimates to the landlord, and if they do not get the leak repaird, you might be able to have the leak repaired by one of the estimators you solocited, and deduct the expense from your next months rent.
Good luck
