Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

I rent home in Independence, Missouri. My landlord peeps into my windows and enters the property when I am away. Do I have any legal ground to complain of trespassing?

Under Missouri law, and most leases I've seen, a labor landlord can inspect rental property, at a reasonable interval, to examine the condition of the property and make repairs. But, that isn't a license to snoop, hi through the tenants belongings or act as a peeping Tom. If you are home when the labor us looking through the windows, or if they are going through your stuff, report it to the police.

Otherwise, you or your attorney may have to inform the landlord (in writing) that you want notice when the landlord is coming inside, and you want to be present.

Good luck
