rental agreetment
I paid a depost on an apartment before I signed the lease. After reading the lease, I decieded I couldn't agree to everything on the lease, and now the property owner will not give me back the $525 deposit. Can she do that?

If your written request for return of your deposit is not honored within 30 days, you may sue the party to whom you made the deposit (usually a company or corporation, not an individual) for damages. You could do this in small claims court, to minimize your costs.
