Security deposit refund

WE rented a Mrtyle Beach condo in Aug.12 left it cleaner when we left and she agreed. but if the owner does not refund it how do we attempt to get it if she lives in Missouri and we live in Ohio?

The issue may be controlled by South Carolina law and it may be properly brought against the landlord where she lives in MO or in SC, depending on which is easiest for you to get to. Your best bet is to have a lawyer send her a certified letter demanding the return of the deposit.
