Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
I have signed a lease with my apartment complex saying that I would give a 60 notice before moving out or my lease would be automatically renewed. It's also stated on my lease that there is no "buy out" option. Well I've had problems with them not fixing things I've asked within my apartment. Also I tried at 60 days to get in touch with the leasing agent asking her what other properties they had available because my lease was about to be up and we wanted to move. She told me she would email me a list, and did not. Am I really stuck for another year with a company that isn't keeping up their end of the bargain, yet they expect me to? I live on the 3rd story with a 3 year old, 7 month old, and a baby due in Jan. So not only is it frustrating that the landlord is not keeping up to their end of the bargain, but also the physicality involved coming to and from my home with 3 kids.

These notices are usually reciprocal. If the problems you see are their obligation to address they just promised to fix them without any increase in rent. If they fail to do what they are obligated to you may have options that will cost money for your landlord.
You should consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area. Do this to get advice specific to your facts. Many attorneys offer a free or low cost initial consultation. Go see one before deciding how to proceed.
