We signed a 5 year contract to lease our home beginning on 12-1-11. The purchase to buy our new home may not go through. The lessees have not fully paid for deposit or first months rent. Could we be sued if we decided not to lease to them?

Unles yoru written agreemetn says otherwise, you do not have ot let them move in if they have not paid the deposit and first month's rent. If that is still the case on December 2, 2011, you can problaby cancel the lease agreement. You could dtill get sued.
