Unnecesary Public embarrassement
The management from the apartment complex I lease an apartment from places a colorful hostile note on the tenants apartment door informing you and everybody that walks by that you owe rent, the next day from due date. They use embarrassment to get tenants to pay the rent quickly. Is this a legal practice?

Although this is classless, there is no strict law that prohibits it.
Your best weapon against this tactic is to move out.
You could, however, file a complaint with the Missouri Human Rights Commission if this practice was aimed at only a certain class of tenants (e.g., they post these on the doors of African-Americans but not other races, etc.)
