Customer Privacy

Is a business allowed to discuss a customers account with other customers. Example, I am using a rent to own company for furiture, on 3 different occasions they have discussed my business with other customers that come in there. The latest was a comment made about my boyfriend passing away. I started getting phone calls from people that I don't even know saying how sorry they are to ear that he died. But the thing is he is still alive! What can I do?

Change to another company or have a MO attorney send them a letter. We can give you a free referral.
