Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Missouri

Can I Sue If A Company's Employee Threatened Me?

I was shopping for movies at Blockbuster Video the other night when a male employee began arguing with me. He went outside to ''smoke a cigarette'' or so he told his manager. When me, my wife, and younger brother walked outside he started more trouble and pulled a knife from his pocket and threatened me while motioning as though he was going to stab me. My wife ran inside to have the police called. Unfortunately nobody at Blockbuster has even apologized to us for this situation. My question is are they legally responsible for their employee's actions?

Consult a local attorney, but in general yes, they may well be responsible. You should file a police report and take it up with Blockbuster through counsel.
