Legal Question in Military Law in Missouri

The Navy put me on TDRL (Temporary Disability Retired List) in 1994. In 1999, the Navy stopped my TDRL payments because, I was told, the law (as in the United States Code) said that, no matter what, TDRL stops after a maximum of five years. Where exactly can the actual law (that states that TDRL payments must cease in all cases at the five year point) be found in the US Code?
