Allergic reaction, permanent scarring

My mother recently used a lotion and had a severe allergic reaction that left permenant scarring on the calfs of her legs. The insurance company has contacted us. I would like to know a reasonable amount of compensation to ask for?

A rough guide would be 3 times the medical damages. However, you should get an attorney to obtain the best settlement possible. Insurers rarely pay what a claim is worth when they deal directly with the injured party.
