Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

I had just bought a car from my sister in law and was getting documents out of car when it was hit and totaled. I was injured and other ins says they aren't at fault. Who deals with the car me or her since I bought it but it was still in her name

Who was listed as the owner on the title to the car ? I need this info before I can answer your question.
