Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri
do insurance companys have to pay back wages upon settlrment in workers compensation

What they generally pay is the TTD (Temporary Total Disability) and PPD (permanent partial disability) It is all bsed upon a rating system as a portion of your body. Your attorney should be able to explain this to you. But, th einurer rarely, if ever pay an amount that would equal your entire salary that you were making before. If you have made a stipulated settlement agreement, it should spell out the exact figures you are using, and your attorney should be able to answer your specific questions.
Good luck
Hi. I am a Missouri workers' compensation and personal injury attorney that handles claims in most parts of the state. In many instances, the employer's insurer does owe additional wages for any time that you missed from work due to treatment for the injuries you sustained. I have had cases where the insurer has not paid the correct amount of missed work wages, or has failed to pay for every day of missed work. In addition, in order to ensure that you receive the full amount that you are entitled to under sec. 287 (workers' comp. statute), you would likely have to have an attorney assist. A few additional details would be needed in order to determine how much you are owed, and what needs to be done to obtain all that you are due under the statute. For example, how much time did you miss from work? Furthermore, have you been released to work with no restrictions, or do you have some current restrictions? I can be reached via e-mail at [email protected], or by phone at (314) 471-5585. Thanks.
