Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

Jury Instructions

I'm representing myself in court on December 17th. Not because I want to... rather, because finding an attorney to take my case was difficult. Lawsuit is against a large corporation that (after my claim was filed) filed BANKRUPTCY. Whatever my (ill) attorney and the (financially struggling) company did in court with the judge on the lawsuit ALLOWED a window of opportunity for me to pursue filing a second claim that would be honored as though it were the first... BEFORE the bankruptcy. I have followed all the rules and time frames... now my case is going to be heard and it's my understanding that I am supposed to supply the judge and the jury with a set of instructions. I need to know where to get these 'instructions'... PLEASE help!

Re: Jury Instructions

Personally, it appears to me that you are in way over your head if in fact you are going to try a case in front of a jury against an experienced trial attorney. Another obvious question occurs to me: if you win, how are you going to collect any money judgment in your favor? Nevertheless, if you are going to try to prepare Jury Instructions, you should go to the law library (most county court houses have one), and ask the librarian for MAI-Civil. This is the book with the approved instructions and contains a pretty good set of directions. Good luck.
