Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri
libel or slander
I recently received a recording of a phone call my ex wife made to my Human Resources dept pretending to be someone else. She lied about what I do in an effort to get me fired. Do I have recourse of any kind here?

Re: libel or slander
There is recourse, but it will likely be costly for you. You could pursue a claim against her, but since her ruse failed, you have no damages. You could potentially get a restraining order against her, but again, that might be costly. Perhaps you should simply hire an attorney (your old divorce attorney maybe) to write to the wife's divorce attorney and threaten legal action if such activity were ever to be attempted again.
