Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

product liability question

Someone in my family had his arm amputated by a fertilizer mixing machine. The company sat the machine up and never installed proximity safety switches that would cause the machine to not start if an access panel was removed. Is there a limit in Missouri on monetary compensation and what is covered?

Re: product liability question

In Missouri you can sue for the economic injuries suffered (loss of use of the limb, loss of income, loss of enjoyment of life, etc.) and you can sue for pain and suffering (disability, disfigurement, etc.)

In some cases you can also sue for punitive damages. We won't know that, however, until we investigate. Please contact either myself in Jefferson City at 888-717-7575 or Steve Gorny at 800-452-2526. We handle these kinds of cases all the time, and I am sure we can help you and your family member obtain compensation for what you've lost.
