Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri
I recently was hurt at work. A conveyor belt machine caught my glove and pulled my hand in. I went to the emergency room with my supervisor who stayed with me the whole time. I then was told not to work the next day due to the pain medicine that I received from the physician. I received my paycheck and they did not pay me for the hours that I was out in the emergency room and also the next day even though I had the doctor and supervisor tell me to stay home. Is this normal?

Perhaps normal, but not right! If you are hurt at work, you are entitled to a portion of your wages for the time you are off. They skip the first three days until you are out 14, then catch them up. More important is your recovery. Workers compensation underpays big injuries, and if your hand is permanently damaged, you will need a lawyer to help you recover all your losses. You may also have a claim against the manufacturer or others connected with the machine.
You should call an attorney to discuss your rights. My office offers free initial conferences, as do many others. If the insurance company isn't treating you properly now, what makes you think they will be fair with you later?
