The answer is "maybe" - the relationship of the individuals in the company to the injured person is important: are they co-employees? did the injured person in any way rely on the letters? was the company the maker of the product, or a user, or an inspection company? All of those questions - and more - would be important in trying to answer your question. Best regards.

Product liabiilty claims are among the more complex cases that find their way to court. Your siutation leaves many questions unanswered. The only way to really know if you have a claim is to sit down, face to face, with a lawyer and go over what happened.

In some cases, your only remedy might be workers compensation. In other situations you might be able to get workers compensation and still sue the manufacturer. You might be able to sue someone who modified the product and made it more dangerous.

It depends- I need more info to advise you. If this is a work related injury, there are often ways to get around workers' compensation as your sole source of recovery. On the other hand, if this is not work related, the company that sold the machine, the manufacturer, and anyone who modified the machine could be liable.
