Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri
I am taking about 20 sales people out on a houseboat to celebrate meeting their goal. They are not employees of mine, but there is a company relation. They are bringing their own food and drinks and my question is: if they bring beer and one of them would have an accident on the way home, do I have any liabilities? Thanks

I assuem you already know you have liability exposure for any injuries or loss they suffer in relation to boarding, diembarking and use of the boat. As to their drive home, you may have liability if you assist an intoxicated party attendee to find their keys or get into or start their vehicle. You should advise all to monitor their drinking, and to make arrangments ahead of time if they think they might imbibe too much. After the party, you should offer to call a cab for anyonethat appears intoxicated. That limit your liability exposure (to the attendees and those they injure on the road), as much as you can, absent prohibiting any liquor consumption. You should make sure you have adequate liability insurance coverage for this party.
Good luck
