Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

time limits on filing claims

I was in an auto accident on 1/08/01. The insurance company for the other party involved has declared me to be at 0%at fault. I received a very low monetary offer from their insurance company. I want to know how long do I have to file a law suit or accept there offer?

Re: time limits on filing claims

In Mo., the general personal injury limit is 5 yrs; it may be longer for minors and there could be other exceptions which may or may not apply to your situation; w/o more info, it is impossible to tell for certain; also, there may be other claims you have not considered which may have much shorter statutes of limitation, and/or notice requirements and other problems.
