venue and jurisdiction
How is venue and jurisdiction determine on a tort action (alienation of affection) in Missouri. If the events took place in another state and only the plaintiff lives in Missouri.

Re: venue and jurisdiction
I believe that the Supreme Court has curtailed the right to sue over "alienation of affection" in Missouri. It probably doesn't matter in your case, since the defendant did nothing in this state, does not reside here, and is not within the jurisdiction of our courts. You may want to consult with an attorney in the state where the actions you are complaining of took place.
Re: venue and jurisdiction
Venue and jurisdiction probably lie in the other state. The person can be sued only in MO if they took actions in Missouri that caused the damages.
Keep in mind that in MO the tort of alienation of affections is difficult to prevail on.
