will a court accept an UTMA account when rewarding to a child?

It is unclear what the purpose of the "award" to the child is. But, if it is part or all of the personal injury settlement or judgment, the courts sometimes require a UTMA. In others, a conservatorship is set up. Each situation is treated differently by different courts. Your child;s attorney shoudl bew able to explain this to you.
