Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

I bought a forclosed house from the bank. The developer of the neighborhood then had all lots remaining in the development forclosed on. The road was never completed but is in a private neighborhood. I was told at closing the county was responsible for the road.I called county and they say the home owners are responsible. What can I do about this since i ask before closing who was responisble and was told the county?

You did not say who told you that the county was responsible for building a road. If it was an authorized agent of the bank, then you may have a cause of action. If it was some person who only repreets themself, giving you therr opinion, then you may not have cause of action against that person. You may ask the county, by appealing to the County council to build a road to yoru home. It might qualify as a stimulus project, so you may not want to delay.

Good luck
