can my ex boyfriend take my car if both of our names is on the loan and i have made all the payments, i also believe both names are on the title?

Based upon the facts you described, either one of you can use or posess the vehicle. If there is adispute, you may have to sell your interest to him (although you would still be lieble on the loan) or sell the vehicle to a3rd party. (to pay off the loan).
