Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
My boyfriend and I have been together five years and are co borrowers on our home. I also had him added to my checking and savings accounts to which we both contribute. He owned another property separately and it was recently foreclosed on. Will they come after our house and accounts we have together for any differences owed. We live in Missouri .

If there is a deficiency as to the other house (sells for less than total owed at the foreclosure sale, they may garnish his wages, execute on his bank accounts (which may include the ones you have with him) and place lein on the house he now has an interest in. They will have to fiel suit and get judgment against him first. Therefore, you should have some warning as to when you need to get yoru own bank accounts again.
