my son bought car owed 500 dollars made 50 dollar payments now three years latercar dealer said he didnt make 5 payment he wasnt even there half the time when payment were made has he got any leagal grounds

Hopefully your son got a receipt for each payment. If not, then it is impossible to guess who the judge will believe more.
