child injures child
My child who is 13 years old and 5' 4'' and 120lbs, was asked by another child to run a foot race with a him. The other child being around 6' tall and over 200lbs. Other child did the count down, at which time he shoved my child. My child fell hitting his head on rocks. I took my child to the hospital when I saw the back of his head. There was a chunk of hair/scalp missing from his head a little larger than a quarter. They could not stitch the wound, because the lack of skin. Other child did not tell his parents what happened. They were informed of injuries by juvenile officer 2 mothes later. Are other childs parents responsible for hospital bill?

Yes, under Missouri law the parents of a minor can be held liable for damages caused by their child. . . up to a certain amount. The last time I researched the statute several years ago that amount was $2000.00. It may have been raised by now. You may be able to persuade the other child's parents to pay your medical bills with a polite letter and documentation of your expenses. If not, an attorney might assist you under a contingency fee contract. The attorney would take a percentage of any amount actually collected as the attorney's fee.
