Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

Its the day of our house closing and the sellers said they want $2000 more dollars or they will not close. Can they do this since we already agreed on a price?

They are negotiating. They should expect you to demand more for the additional money, i.e. paint the house, fix the yard, provide two-year home warranty, or decline the offer to change the agreement. Without seeing the contract and correspondence, it is impossible to tell you whether you have binding agreement.

Good luck
