defaulted mortgage loan

my husbands ex wife lives in a house my husband financed for her while they were single. she is supposed to be responsible for all of the costs and has since remarried and rented it to her mother. she is late and affecting our credit and now refuses to pay at all. can we take her to court even though her name is not on the mortgage loan and it was a verbal understanding?

Does your husband own the house? If so, he might be able to sue the ex for eviction or maybe even for rent and possession on the theory that she was a month-to-month tenant.
