more ernest money for extensions?

got a offer made on the sale of my home. here we are 7 weeks later and have had to give the buyers several extensions for everything they need to get done. now they are requesting ANOTHER extension for appraisal (and still not having their bids turned in so that will need an extension) can i ask for more ernest money in exchange for these extensions? they also are too far behind to meet the closing date now(they have $500 down now)i feel like this will either get them in gear to get their stuff turned into their lender or get out of it so i can sell it.
