If you do not fall within any of the statutes whcih provicde for the filing of various liens such as mechanic's liens, materialman's liens and so forth, you may still be able to obtain a lien by filing a lawsuit, obtaining a judment, and transcribing that judgment if it is initially entered in the associate circuit court. Circuit court judgments are automatically liens agains real estate located in the same county.
