Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
A friend was supposed to do some mechanic work on a piece of machinery for someone work was not done parts not bought no money ever paid. Friend who was supposed to do work has machinery to be worked on still on his property after 5 years mechanic has spoken with owner of machinery twice with no results. What are the mechanics options? Does the mechanic own the property now?

Your friend may be able to obtain ownership of hte machinery. They will probalby have to sue to tansfer title t the machinery. (If it is av ehicle, the Department of Revenue has a process for this.) Once they allege that the machinery is abandoned, the owner must be served with Notice and an opportunity to contest the allegation of abandonment,. If they do not, the judge may sign an Order and Judgment declaring the mechinaic the owner of the machinery.
