Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

I gave my fiance gifts in MO. including a car in her name, a ring, and money for her legal matters with her ex-husband. She called off the relationship. Can I recover the gifts?

An engagement ring can be retrieved upon cancelation of the engagement. Teh other gifts may be harder to get back. If you supplied acar for her use whiel you wer dating, you can retrieve the car, if it is in yrou name. If not, then the gift is still agift, and probably no use in suin gher over. The other items, money, etc. are completed gifts, and you canot get them back unless you can show that they were loans or in exchange for goods or services that she failed to provide.
