home in flood plain

I bought a home in May 08 with a FHA loan. It flooded in June. I found out after the flood that my house in a flood plain. I was not told this and was not required flood insurance. I will now never be able to sell this home for a profit. Do I have any legal actions available to me?

If the home inspector did nto notify you that the house was in a flood plane, you may have an action against them. However, many people foolishly either don't pay for a thorough inspection or sing a waiver excusing the inspector from liability for not making all investigations or disclosures.

If the house had flooded, during the sellers' ownership, and the realtor or broker knew that, they should have disclosed this. You may have an action against them.
