Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
I have a home that was foreclosed on this week. My parents were trying to buy the home before the foreclosure but the banks (being as helpful as they are) didn't get the financing done in time before the foreclosure. Now, my parents have gone to the bank that now owns the home and asked to purchase it from them, pre-approved with their own financing, and the bank said they wouldn't sell to them because I am their son. Is this legal? Seems like they are discriminating against them based on my not so shiny credit history.

It sounds exactly like they are discriminating agianst your parents because you are their Son. It does not seem to violate any laws by refusing to finance the purchase. Of course they will sell the house to your parents, for the right price, they just won't finance the purchase. Perhaps your parents can go to another lender to get the financing.
Good luck
