Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
My ex husband was supposed to file a quit claim deed as part of our divorce decree ordered by the court. I was removed from all liability on the house. However, now I find that this was not done (in 2007) and he has defaulted on the loan. Do I have any options?

Unless the note holder, lender it mortgage company as party to your divorce, the order dividing property and debts doesn't alter your liability to them. If you were subject to liability before the divorce, u still are afterwards. But, your property division order should allow you to sue your ex for reimbursement of any money you are forced to pay to that creditor
Good luck
